Help Us Build a More Inclusive Future in GAA
As Ireland’s first LGBTQ+ GAA club, Na Laochra Aeracha is more than just a sports team—we’re a community, a movement, and a growing part of the future of Gaelic games.
With your support, we can continue to create a welcoming space for players of all backgrounds, challenge barriers in sport, and represent pride and inclusivity on and off the pitch.
Your contribution—whether through sponsorship or donation—helps us:
- Cover essential costs like pitch rental & equipment.
- Offer subsidised membership to players who need financial support.
- Expand into new areas like camogie and hurling.
- Take part in Pride events and inclusion initiatives.
- Grow our visibility within the GAA and the wider community.

- Reach a passionate and engaged audience.

Munster Technological University
We are glad to announce that Munster Technological University (MTU, Cork Campus) has sponsored our club.
A Cork university has been named as the official sponsors for Munster’s first LGBTQIA+ inclusive GAA club.
Munster Technological University (MTU) has become the proud official sponsor of Na Laochra Aeracha (NLA) GAA Club—the first LGBTQIA+ inclusive Gaelic games club in the Munster region.
Founded in 2024, Na Laochra Aeracha boasts 80 members from across Munster.
The club offers a welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies to engage in Gaelic sports. Its men’s team is set to compete in the City Division Junior C championship this season, and a women’s team is planned for launch in 2026.
MTU President Professor Maggie Cusack emphasised the alignment between the club’s mission and the university’s values.
“Supporting Na Laochra Aeracha, whose club values include inclusiveness, diversity, community identity, and respect, directly aligns with MTU’s strategic objectives in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
