History
The club was born out of a desire to make GAA more accessible and welcoming for LGBTQ+ individuals. For many, traditional sporting spaces have not always felt inclusive or affirming. The founders of Na Laochra Aeracha—meaning “The Gay Warriors”—wanted to change that narrative. They envisioned a club where everyone could show up as their full selves and feel a sense of belonging, on and off the pitch.
Since its foundation, the club has grown rapidly and proudly participates in official GAA competitions while creating a supportive community where people can play, learn, and thrive.
